PR meets SEO

Monday, February 1st, 2010

SEO is no longer just the domain of web developers – as the general public increasingly turn to Google to answer all their questions (how did we learn anything before search engines?!) it’s more and more imperative that brands and individuals rank well.

You need to ensure that when someone types your name into Google, the first thing they see is a glowing review, or a link to your own informative and well presented website. Don’t let someone misguidedly write negative things about your brand and have that come up top of the search results, drugs store or be spread across twitter.

Google searches Twitter

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

As the world continues to go twitter crazy, Google is now able to show live twitter results in it’s search results. So if you’re tweeting, make sure you make it good and you might well have people finding their way to you through general searches.

And if you’re not a big tweeter yourself already, this emphasises why it’s good to keep an eye on what people are saying about you on twitter so you can be ready to reply should something unsavoury be said; something that you don’t want to show above the rest of Google’s search results.

There are tools online prescription available for monitoring words and phrases as they’re said on twitter, such as tweetbeep, tweetalarm and twilert which is relaunching in February 2010. If you’d like a hand in keeping an eye on your twitter presence and managing it on a day to day basis, please contact us on 0207 351 3131 or email
