Who's who and their expertise:
Carol Burkinshaw set up variations pr in January 1998. She directs and co-ordinates the work of the team and is deeply involved in the planning and running of campaigns. Her years of experience in publishing, PR and marketing provides continuity, sound media knowledge, established contacts in press and broadcasting and a deep understanding of product positioning. Her "training college" was Condé Nast Publications (Vogue and House & Garden).

Julia Nye has been working with variations pr since it began. Her wide knowledge of journalism and PR means that she is the ideal person to initiate new press contacts and devise finely targeted campaigns to strengthen and maintain our relationships with editors and journalists. Her experience includes working with Greta Scacchi (actress), The Conran Group, Friends for the Young Deaf, SupaSnap, Kleenex, Pepsi, Health Education Board of Scotland and Jif Lemon Juice.

Emily Chamberlayne-Ingles manages the day-to-day running of the PR campaigns. Her experience ensures that all required materials and information requested by journalists gets to them yesterday! Her efficiency and great warmth ensures strong relationships with the editorial teams.

Lisa Bailey, as Director of On-Line PR and Editorial Coordination at Variations PR, manages all client press information and design, ensuring journalists get all the information they need in the most attention-grabbing way possible. Lisa's online experience includes work for organisations such as BBC Two, The Home Office, and Sainsbury's.

David Burkinshaw helped set up variations pr. As an experienced project manager he briefs and co-ordinates the work of designers, photographers, other creative professionals, source manufacturers and suppliers as required. He is also involved in the planning and implementation of the agency's business development; particularly
